BRITISH TENNIS MEMBERSHIP - FREE
British Tennis Membership is the LTA's new scheme for engaging players and tennis club members as part of a wider tennis playing circle. Players who are currently members of affiliated clubs will be entitled to FREE membership for 2008 and will be eligible for a wide variety of benefits, including:- - Player rating
- Online Tournament Entry
- Monthly e-newsletter
- Exclusive Discounts
- Advice from top players and coaches
- Wimbledon ticket ballot, run through your club or a central ballot
- Membership card with associated benefits
Tailored add-on packages will become available in time, relating directly to the specific interests of individual members. The new scheme will allow the LTA to engage directly with the people who actually play tennis in the UK and is designed to support participation and encourage competition. Whatever your interest in tennis, there will be benefits for all members. One exciting aspect of the scheme is that junior players can be members in their own right, a fact that LTA Chief Executive Roger Draper, sees as vitally important. "A major part of our drive at the LTA is inspiring juniors to pick up a racket and compete. As such, we are asking that juniors sign up as individual members. This means they can really benefit from the services that are on offer as part of membership, such as the player rating, online tournament entry and advice from top coaches and players." Although the scheme doesn't start until March you can register your interest now. Call 0845 873 7202 to find out more, or follow the links at www.lta.org.uk |
